Carl walked up to us last night and said, “You are an answer to prayer.  My wife and I have been praying for months that people like you would come to Spangdahlem.  Satan has a grip on the people here and they need to hear the truth.”  We believe that is why God brought us here and that is why we are so excited to move into the Hangar and get started sharing that truth.  At the same meeting where we met Carl, we were introduced to three young airmen who had previously been part of a hospitality house in Japan and can’t wait for us to get started here.  It is just another example of how God has gone before and prepared the way for us.

Our departure from Michigan and family and friends was harder than we thought it would be.  We were given a special treat on the flight over when we discovered that our good friend, Rich Willoughby, was the captain.  We were met on arrival by Sheila’s brother, David, who has made arrangements to stay in Europe until April in order to help us with the remodeling in the house.  We are grateful for his presence and expertise.

We have spent the last 2 weeks making contacts in both the Air Force and German communities.  Everywhere we have been warmly welcomed and encouraged in our ministry. Pictured here are an A-10 and F-16.  These are the two fighter squadrons that are presently stationed at Spangdahlem and it is the pilots and personnel connected with these aircraft that will be the core of our ministry.

God has been incredibly gracious in taking care of all the details of getting us ready to move into the house tomorrow. Our goal is to have the renovations completed by Easter.  We would appreciate your prayers in the following areas: safe and undamaged arrival of our household goods the end of this month, clear communication and coordination with workers and local authorities as we remodel, and continued excitement and encouragement from the personnel here at Spangdahlem.
