Last month we celebrated the powerful resurrection of Jesus Christ, but here are a few ways that we have EXPERIENCED His resurrection power in our lives. First of all…..in provision. After waiting for more than a year, we have finally been approved for logistical support under the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). Simply put, this allows us to buy gas on the Air Base, license our vehicles, and deduct the 19% German tax on everything we buy. It is a huge gift! Instead of paying $150 to fill up our car with gas, we now pay about $45. Instead of paying $800 for bricks for a new walkway, we can forego the German tax and only pay $648. For those of you who have been praying with us, thank you. The only explanation for this approval is the power of God in response to the prayers of His people. In addition, God has provided a variety of workers. Last month we hosted a church youth group from California and all 20 beds at the Hangar were filled. They spent their spring break from school with us, boosting our numbers for Easter dinner to 85!! It was chaotic, but wonderful. Sheila’s brother is also here with us for 3 months. He is the designer, director and dirt digger for all of our spring outdoor projects, which include a new walkway, fire pit, picnic area and sand volleyball court. Please pray that it stops raining long enough for us to complete the projects. |

Hi |
|
We have also experienced God’s power in our relationships. Roger is now mentoring 3 individual airmen who want to go deeper with God; Sheila meets with 2 women; and together we are working with 2 couples. More people have come and asked us to personally mentor them, but we have to prayerfully consider how much more we can do and still have time to prepare for our weekly Bible studies. We are thrilled that God is moving in the lives of these young people and that they are hungry for more. Every weekend activity is designed to give us one-on-one time with the individuals who come to the Hangar. Recent trips to Corrie Ten Boom’s house in Haarlem, Holland; the famous Keukenhof tulip gardens; and an Iron Chef competition have proven fruitful in opportunities for spiritual discussion and growth. |

We now have a web site for you to visit (www.spanghangar.net). Check it out and see some of the latest happenings here at the Hangar or come in person and get the ‘up close and personal’ view. We pray that you, too, “….may know His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms….”. (Ephesians 1:18-20)
Gott Sei Dank, Roger and Sheila |
